Biography
Keith D. Kirschbraun is a member in the law firm of Wright & Kirschbraun, A Limited Liability Law Company on Maui. Keith was originally licensed to practice law in the state of Texas in November of 1980. He practiced law with the firm of Wood, Lucksinger & Epstein from 1980 to 1989. Keith was a partner at Wood, Lucksinger & Epstein from 1986 until he left the firm to move to the state of Hawaii in 1989. Keith’s practice at Wood, Lucksinger & Epstein was in the general representation of health care clients, including serving as general counsel for a large non-profit hospital/health care system. Keith’s practice focused on representation in the areas of administrative/regulatory and business law. Keith’s administrative/regulatory experience is at both state and federal levels. Keith’s experience in business law includes for profit and non-profit business organizations, sales/acquisitions, complex contractual arrangements, and litigation.
Keith was admitted to practice law in the State of Hawaii in May of 1989. He was initially employed by the County of Maui in the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in 1990 as a litigator until the law firm of Wright & Kirschbraun was formed in October of 1990. At Wright & Kirschbraun, Keith continues his practice in business law, business organization, contractual arrangements, real estate transactions, trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships, condominium/homeowners’ association law, and litigation. Keith has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Keith holds a B.B.A. in Finance with highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin, which he completed in two years. He graduated law school with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. During his legal career, Keith has spoken at seminars in Texas, California, Georgia, Illinois and Hawaii on various legal topics, including non-profit and for profit joint ventures in health care and retirement housing, director responsibility, and art law. Keith has also served as Grand Jury Counsel for the County of Maui and has served on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui and the Rotary Club of Maui.
