Biography
Douglas R. Wright, a 1997 graduate from the University of Notre Dame, also earned a J.D. and M.B.A. in 2001 from Hofstra University. Having been licensed to practiced law since 2001, Doug is an associate with Wright & Kirschbraun. He was first licensed in South Carolina in 2001, where he practiced law in Charleston for three years primarily in the area of insurance defense. He then moved to upstate New York in 2004, where he became licensed and practiced law for eight years, five of those years as a member of Hayes & Wright, PLLC, primarily in the areas of real estate transactions, business organization, operational activities and transactions, contracts, municipal law, permitting activities, personal estate planning and general practice. In January of 2012, he was admitted to practice law in the State of Hawaii, and in July of 2012, he returned home to Maui to join Wright & Kirschbraun. Doug continues his practice in real estate, business formation and transactions, personal estate planning and civil litigation. Doug has served in numerous volunteer organizations on the mainland and, upon returning home, he has continued his volunteer activities. He is presently a member of the Board of Directors of Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Centers and the Board of Directors for Learning Endeavors.
